At a glance
Your lot is the first impression, and the first drain
Moore Clean runs commercial parking lot sweeping and parking lot cleaning across Greater Houston, including major retail districts such as the Galleria and Memorial City, grocery-anchored centers in Katy and Sugar Land, office parks along the Energy Corridor, and community amenity lots from The Woodlands to Pearland, League City and Spring. Routes run overnight out of our Fisher Street facility, so the lot is clean before your first customer parks.
Houston adds a reason most cities don’t have: drainage. A lot carrying sediment, litter, and leaf load sends all of it to the nearest inlet with the next downpour, and a clogged inlet in this town means standing water at your tenants’ doors. Sweeping keeps the pavement presentable and keeps the lot draining the way the civil engineer intended.

Houston property managers commonly combine lot sweeping with porter service and pressure washing in the Property Maintenance Bundle, a single contract for the entire exterior.

Why it matters
Is parking lot sweeping in Houston and the Gulf Coast region a stormwater best practice?
In Houston the stormwater benefit of parking lot sweeping is visible. Lots here are nearly flat, so a drain inlet partly blocked by leaves, sediment, and litter produces ponding at the storefront in an ordinary rain. Pavement sweeping is on the EPA national menu of stormwater BMPs because it removes that material at the source, before it enters the inlets and the bayou system that the Harris County Flood Control District spends billions maintaining.
For a Houston property manager, a documented sweeping program therefore serves two purposes. It is a housekeeping standard and a flood-mitigation measure, producing cleaner pavement, clearer inlets, and service records to present when the management company or an inspector asks what the property does about stormwater.

Overnight routes cover retail and restaurant lots from Downtown and Midtown through The Heights and Bellaire, big-box centers along I-10 and US-59, and community lots out to Cypress, Katy, and Pearland. Questions
Houston parking lot sweeping FAQ
How often should a Houston lot be swept?
Grocery-anchored centers and other high-traffic retail are generally swept two to three times a week, standard retail and office lots weekly, and community and industrial lots monthly with seasonal deep sweeps. Live oaks in Houston shed leaves and pollen strings for much of the year, so lots under tree canopy, which are common in Bellaire and The Heights, usually call for a higher frequency. Ranges by property type and a Texas seasonal calendar are set out in our guide on how often a commercial parking lot should be swept. Sweeping handles grit and litter, and a pressure washing rotation can be added to the same program for oil stain removal on pads, drive aisles, and dumpster approaches.
Do you sweep after Houston’s big storms?
Yes. Post-storm sweeps clear silt, vegetation, and debris the water leaves behind, and they matter double here: what stays on the lot goes down the inlet with the next rain. Portfolio clients can arrange hurricane-season standby for a response window.
Will overnight sweeping disturb tenants?
No. Routes are scheduled between about 10 PM and 6 AM, vacuum sweepers produce less noise than most people expect, and dust control prevents a cloud from forming over the lot. Tenants arrive to the result and do not see the work.
How do I verify the service happened?
GPS tracking is installed on every truck, and each visit is followed by a service report. Managers responsible for lots in Katy, the Galleria, and Pearland can check every address from a desk, which is useful at vendor review and whenever someone claims the lot was not swept.
